It has been already 15 years since the day I decided to start my company Workland. I still remember the day that me, a professional marketer and branding expert, told my husband that I would create an HR-Tech company to automate the match making process between candidates and companies. In hindsight...he was right, it was totally crazy.

As a still fully bootstrapped SaaS software company, I can say that I've been around the block and learnt most of the lessons required to build a successful business in a super competitive space. I've learnt many things along the journey, some by doing things right, some by following advice and some THE VERY HARD way through experiments that did not always work out the way I thought they would.

​After making it out from what I call the Valley of Death of companies, I decided to start coaching and mentoring startups and SMEs, to help them scale through both Marketing and HR advice, which today are more interrelated than ever. After coaching 100+ companies from different industries, I realized that my approach was generating super high ROI and in many cases, helping companies avoid some of the most costly HR mistakes. 

Littlest Hobo Series (1980s)

​When I was young I loved this series, always built on the same format. A nice family had a crisis situation, the dog arrived, saved the family, family wanted to keep him, but dog had to go at the end to go save another family (very sad, every time).

​I mention this, because this is actually how I see myself. I love to come into a company with a big challenge, help turn things around and then leave at the end to go help another company in trouble.

​I have learnt to love being parachuted in a company and leave when all is better with a feeling of having had a big impact.

I can only mentor a certain number of organizations simultaneously... so lately I thought about how I could multiply the interventions as I see so many companies struggling. One of my big callings in life is to prevent business owners and managers from making the sometimes costly HR mistakes I did over 15 years as an entrepreneur in the Human Resources space, or observed through my 6 years of coaching companies one-on-one.
